Visit Counting: how it works
This site records a small amount of visit data when a reader arrives from a search engine: the page path, the type of event, the name of the referring search engine and the text of any outbound button that gets clicked. This information is used only to count page views and clicks on outbound buttons, and for nothing else. A single flag is kept in the browser for the current session so that one page view is not counted twice; this flag does not persist beyond the session and no other browser storage or persistent identifier is set. The site is made of self-contained pages with locally embedded fonts, so nothing needed to display a page is pulled from an outside host while it loads. The files themselves are served as static content through a content delivery network, which handles the technical details of each request as the hosting provider.
Outbound Links: separate destinations
Some links on this site lead to third-party destinations. When one of these is followed, the link first passes through a path on this domain before redirecting to the partner site. That redirect does not hand over any stored visitor data to the partner; once the reader lands on the partner site, that site receives the request directly from the browser and keeps its own separate record of the visit. This site has no control over what a linked destination does with that request.
There are no forms on this site, no contact channels, no third-party analytics and no external subresources loaded into its pages. Nothing here collects names, e-mail addresses, account identifiers or payment details, and no personal information is stored or retained about any visitor. Because of this, the site does not ask for consent, does not require an account, and does not need any personal detail to function. Readers should not submit personal data to this site, since no channel exists to receive it, and should treat any linked destination as a separate site with its own separate handling of information.
